Helping navigate your child's AUTISM diagnosis

1 on 1 Parent Support

  • Overview
Breakthrough Consulting considers parent support to be a vital component of effectively managing an autism diagnosis. It is often difficult to know what to do when faced with balancing treatment options, waiting lists, working with providers, funding/insurance issues, and home life. Breakthrough's 1 on 1 parent support service helps parents with: 1) goal setting and prioritization, 2) action planning, and 3) follow-through. Since each child and family situation is different, Breakthrough offers a service that is flexible and individualized to the needs of the parents and child.

  • How it works

Step 1 - Free Consultation: Contact Karen Reis to set up a free 30 minute consultation. Karen will ask the parent(s) to fill out a brief questionnaire beforehand. During the consultation, Karen will review the child's current situation, parental goals, issues and opportunities specific to treatment options, funding strategies, and the support system.

Step 2 -  Service Proposal: After the consultation, Karen will present the client with her recommended service plan that is individualized to support the need of the parents.  The cost of the service will depend on many factors including the parent's financial situation, goals, timeframe, and service preferences (i.e. in person, email, phone). If the plan is amenable to the client, Karen and the client will sign a contract describing the   service plan, goals, format, duration, and payment plan.

Step 3 - At your service!: Karen and the client will implement the service plan to help parents set and obtain goals!
